In February 2018, real wages in Ukraine in comparison with February of last year grew by 10.5% and in comparison with January-2018 – 0.6%.
This was reported on the official website of the State statistics service.
As noted, average wages of staff in February 2018, compared to January 2018 increased by 1.5% in annual terms – by 26.1%, to 7828 UAH, whereas in January-2018 it was 7711 UAH, in December 2017 – 8777 UAH in November of last year – 7479 UAH.
According to statedata, the largest increase in average wages of full-time employees in February 2018 compared to February 2017 was observed in Zhytomyr (31.2%), Transcarpathian (31,1%), Vinnytsia (29,3%), Cherkasy (28.9%), and Lviv (28,7%), Chernivtsi (27,7%), Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk (27,6%), Kirovohrad and Sumy (27,2%), Kyiv (26,8%), Chernihiv (26.6 percent) oblasts and city of Kyiv (23.3 percent).
In the Donetsk and Lugansk regions (excluding part of the area of the ATO) wage growth amounted to 23.8% and 22.4%, respectively.
The highest level of salaries in the last month was recorded in -12124 Kiev UAH, the lowest – in Ternopil region – UAH 6040.
In February 2018, compared with the same month in 2017, the wages increased in the field of public administration and defence, compulsory social security (49,0%), transportation, warehousing, post and courier activities (34.5 percent), financial and insurance activities (31,2%), in agriculture, forestry and fisheries (26.5 per cent), industry (24.7 per cent), in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (24.4%), and activities the administrative and support services (29,9%), education (23,4%), operations with real estate (22,6%), in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation (22,0%), information and telecommunications (19.3 percent), construction (17.7 percent), percent), healthcare and social assistance (17.6%) and in the field of temporary accommodation and food (14.8 per cent); professional, scientific and technical activities (by 12.6%).
